Children are an important part of Jesus’s church

Grace United Church is glad to worship with children! You can find information about Summer Camp and Messy Church here! Please keep reading below to learn about Sunday School…

What can I expect?

Worship is usually in Chelsea (Oct – May) or Rupert (June – Sept). All the children begin worship with their grown-ups.  The sanctuary (worship space) has books, colouring, and room to play. We will share in a children’s story or an interactive activity, as well as song and prayer. After 10-15 minutes, the children will be invited to Sunday School. At Sunday School, they can continue their worship with a Bible story and fun activities. Sunday School is from Sept-June each year. Children are very welcome to come to worship in the summer! We’ll have toys, books and colouring available.

Who will be caring for my child?

In the picture below, you can see our Sunday School teachers, Nancy and Sue. They are both caring and thoughtful people, with lots of experience of children and church. Like all of our volunteers working with children at Grace, they have a record check on file. Nancy and Sue would be happy to answer any questions you have about Sunday School.

Each child is unique!

If your child is nervous about Sunday School, you might like to come with her at first. If your child would prefer to stay with the grown-ups rather than going to Sunday School, he is welcome to stay.
