BAPTISM
In baptism, by water and prayer, we are marked as people of Christ. Baptism is a powerful symbol of God’s amazing love in Jesus Christ. In baptism, we become part of Jesus’s Church. When adults are baptized, they make a profession of faith and promise to follow Jesus. When children are baptized, their parent(s) promise to raise them in faith in Christ. The church community commits to supporting the newly baptized person in his or her growing faith. If you want to learn more about baptism in the United Church of Canada, our minister would be glad to talk with you about it. You can call 829-593-1112.
