“It doesn’t matter if your stitches aren’t perfect. Machines can make uniform stitches. The beauty of a hand-made quilt is that the stiches are different and made with love. Anyone can quilt, even if you’ve never sewn before.”
– Joanne K, organiser of the quilters at Grace.
Every Monday afternoon, you are welcome to come try quilting at the Chelsea location of Grace (at 8 Mill Road). Sewing usually lasts from 1:00-2:30 pm. Whether you are from the church or the wider community – please feel free to drop in!
The quilts created raise money for charity, or are to given to people in our community who are ill or experiencing hard times.
